Temporary Closure of All USCIS Offices Extended Through at least May 3, 2020

USCIS has announced that it is further extending the temporary suspension of all in-person services at its field offices, asylum offices, and application support centers (ASCs), and it will re-open its offices on May 4, 2020, unless the public closures are further extended. Previously, the suspension of services was through April 7, 2020.
USCIS will still provide limited emergency services via its USCIS Contact Center.
As a reminder, USCIS has also explained that it will send notices to all applicants and petitioners who have scheduled appointments and naturalization ceremonies who are impacted by the office closures. The USCIS asylum office will also send interview cancellation notices and automatically reschedule all asylum interviews.
Also, when the USCIS resumes normal operations, it will automatically reschedule biometric appointments as well. All applicants and petitioners will receive new appointment letters in the mail.
This also means that individuals who had InfoPass or other appointments will have to reschedule via the USCIS Contact Center once the field offices reopen to the public again.
We suggest readers to continue to check and make sure your local field office is open first before contacting the USCIS Contact Center again.
